Masur Birch and Rosewood wooden Bowl

2 of the most expensive woods in the world are combined to make this fabulous talking piece.

Masur Birch comes Finland and is given its character by beetle larvae burrowing into the cambium layer! The effect is a stunning almost 3 dimensional flame like fleck.

Turned by myself to Gallery Standard, with Sonokeling rosewood pedastal, and hand polished with my own blend of food safe waxes. The photo's cannot do this justice.

size : 18cm diameter x 11.5cm deep

as with all my peices it is signed dated, numbered and has the name of the wood engraved into the base. It also comes with a certificate of authenticity on parchment paper
